In rural South Kivu, women actively participate in the economic and productive life of their communities. Unfortunately, they do not have equal access to resources such as land and credit and are often excluded from decision-making processes. Why, 84% of the population lives below the poverty line and many women have never been to school. Supporting them in their process of social and economic emancipation therefore involves strengthening their skills in order to make them more autonomous. One of the solutions? Literacy training.
